Macro Sector ETF Returns - October 2025

ETFSector.com October Outlook: Consumer Discretionary

Discretionary stocks paused in their bullish reversal in September, but a supportive Fed and falling mortgage rates offer potential tailwinds for the sector.

ETFSector.com October Outlook: Consumer Staples

Staples grades out as the weakest sector in our process facing both technical and fundamental headwinds at present.

ETFSector.com October Outlook: Healthcare

After the sector showed some signs of life in August, weakness in the drug complex undercut any near-term momentum the sector had.

ETFSector.com October Outlook: Financials

Financials have been on the sidelines for the past few months. Our process remains constructive, but headwinds to low vol. stocks have hampered the sector as Insurance and Financial Services stocks have been viewed as defensive.

ETFSector.com October Outlook: Information Technology

Ai continues to be the dominant theme of this bull market. With inflation in check and a supportive Fed, we are long.

ETFSector.com October Outlook: Communication Services

Mega Cap. Growth names have been beneficiaries of continued enthusiasm for AI plays which has carried the sector to sustained outperformance.

ETFSector.com October Outlook: Utilities

Utilities remain our favored sector for a defensive hedge as our Elev8 portfolio remains tilted towards upside exposures in aggregate.

ETFSector.com October Outlook: Real Estate

Low vol. stocks remain out of favor. We start October with a market weight position in Real Estate to help cushion any corrective action in AI and Growth trades we're exposed to in the Elev8 portfolio.

Industry Research

ETFSector.com November Outlook: S&P 500 Index

Upside participation has narrowed at the stock level over the past two months, and we think there is elevated risk of rotation/correction. That said, Tech Sector momentum remains the motive force for the bull trend and we are seeing FOMO buying even on shallow pullbacks in AI names. We enter November bar-belling long Tech exposure with more low vol. allocation than we had previously and we're short consumer facing exposures.

ETFSector.com October Outlook: S&P 500

We remain constructive on equities, and we would expect any near-term corrective action to be accumulated given strong buyer enthusiasm and supportive financial conditions. We remain positioned in our Elev8 portfolio for continued upside.

ETFSector.com September Outlook: S&P 500

We're expecting some backing and filling in September after investors spent April - August pricing in bullish scenarios on global trade resolution. A dovish Fed is another potential catalyst for rotation.

ETFSector.com August Outlook: S&P 500

Overbought conditions are a tactical concern, but present trends remain constructive for US equities, and we think the path of least resistance for equities remains higher over the intermediate-term.

ETFSector.com July Outlook: S&P 500

Set up for equities remains bullish heading into July, and we've aligned our portfolio with historical upside exposures at the sector level

ETFSector.com July Outlook: Information Technology Sector

The Information Technology sector remains the bull market leader at the sector level
