S&P 500 Constituent Earnings Announcements by GICS Sector | Friday May 30th, 2024

Busy earnings calendar for Thursday with COST set to report after the bell. Interesting to see if they can follow-up WMT’s stellar quarter. The main focus is the consumer as several staples and discretionary names will also report. We highlighted some of the inflationary headwinds that have the consumer sagging in 2024 in our weekly market letter.

- COST (200-day m.a.| Relative to S&P 500)
- COST is priced to perfection at 50x forward earnings, but it is a strong stock over the short, intermediate and long-term, with the staples retail space a beneficiary of current consumer trends.
